Queens Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to exclusively reveal the identity of our new head coach, available for pre-order today (Wednesday 1st April).
The individual, who will be in charge of the R's First Team in our final home fixture of the season against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday 25th April, has the iconic title of 'head coach', and - back by popular demand - is a symbolic yes man.
Club Captain Martin Rowlands is a huge advocate of the new man and told www.qpr.co.uk: "The head coach title is the iconic image of QPR and the board have got it spot on with this new appointment.
"Gianni has done a fantastic job with the transfers and the shape of the squad and I'm sure the fans will be as delighted as all the players are with the new coach."
Striker Rowan Vine echoed Rowlands' sentiments, commenting: "The players love the new head coach.
"The head coach role is symbolic of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, with the nodding dog persona on show, and the lads love the whole board too, so we're glad they're still around.
"We're all really looking forward to playing for the new coach for the first time against Plymouth later this month."
Deputy Managing Director, Ali Russell, said: "It has been a pleasure working with Gianni in developing this new coach. I would personally like to thank him for becoming more and more involved and impactful as the Official Technical Creator and Supplier of Queens Park Rangers Football Club coaches.
"Last year, under extremely tight deadlines, Gianni worked exceptionally hard to help us design a new, modern and fashionable coach, integrating our new international flavour. After some unscheduled blips earlier in the season, this time we were able to spend more time on some of the finer details of the coach and ensure our owners have maximum say in team selection."
The new head coach retains the traditional role on the training ground, but this year, Flavio is positioned at the top centre of the management tree, with Gianni situated half an inch below. The Head Coach is now placed half way down the pecking order, matching his real status at Loftus Road.
The new head coach is available for pre-order today, and in the QPR Superstore from Saturday 25th April 2009. To pre-order the new QPR head coach, click here
