Now this is a genuinely exciting League…the fifth most-watched in Europe, and a classic case of "anyone can beat anyone else on their day".
Clearly those clubs fresh down from the Prem have a financial advantage, as Birmingham & Sunderland proved last year. Meanwhile, much as West Brom may still be benefitting from parachute payments, their Play-Off defeat has led to the Prem vultures circling for their best players.
However last year the likes of Wolves, Preston and Cardiff all managed to sustain challenges for most of the season, and you can't discount the likes of Norwich, Palace or Wednesday from challenging this time round.
We've decided to focus on a club who, despite a relatively impressive top flight pedigree over the last couple of decades, are still not regarded as promotion favourites (unlike Charlton and Sheff United). Watford have twice upset the odds to get to the Prem in recent years, only to come straight back down with a bump on each occasion. What lies in store for Aidy Boothroyd's men this time round?
One of the best independent fan sites we've ever seen was Watford's Blind Stupid and Desperate. Alas BSaD is no more…but its founders Matt Rowson & Ian Grant couldn't resist following it up with their blog, BHaPPY.
