new season special:

league two

(August 07)

Another division that arguably offers more genuine intrigue than the Prem – that is if you like your intrigue based around players & performances rather than the pseudo-rock star off field exploits of the Baby Bentley brigade.
League Two is awash with some great names of English football, clubs steeped in history and tradition, teams who have formed a vital part of their town’s tapestry for a century and more. And MK Dons.
By the way, can anyone tell us what pop…er, ‘impresaring’ Pete Winkelman has actually done, or has he got where he is simply because people confuse him for either Peter Stringfellow (same haircut) or Pete Waterman (name similarities, genuine pop impresario).

Some of you will know Bill Brewster for his best-selling books ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’ and ‘How to DJ Properly’, and for his own dj’ing exploits, CD sleeve notes and music journalism. However, before all this, Bill was one of the original team at When Saturday Comes, and is a lifelong Mariner. Who better for our Q&A session…
