sizes and styles (guide only)

our standard sizes are:
small (36-38); medium (38-40); large (40-42); xl (42-44) ; xxl (44-46)

ladies fit sizes (available on selected designs):
small (8-10); medium (10-12); large (12-14); xl (14-16)

kids’ sizes (available on selected designs):
26-28 (5-6 years); 28-30 (7-8 years); 30-32 (9-10 years); 32-34 (11-12 years)

here at goalfood towers, quality of shirts is paramount. we appreciate when shopping online that you are placing your trust in us to deliver you a high quality garment, and that is what we will always endeavour to provide. we spend a lot of time & effort sourcing shirts we are happy with, and to date have had no items returned due to customers being upset with the quality, and much positive feedback.

we also appreciate that accurate sizing is also a key issue when purchasing online, and it is in our interests as much as yours that we give the right guidance to customers on sizes. there are always small differences in sizing with different manufacturers - one man’s XL is another’s XXL and so on. to minimise this potential problem, we use as few manufacturers as possible so as to keep size consistency.

the sizes shown above are our current standard guide sizes. if you order a slightly older stock item where we feel that one size down / up may be a better option for you as the shirt in question came from a different source, we will contact you to discuss (and of course swap the shirt in the unlikely event we get it wrong). can’t say fairer than that, can we?

we would describe our mens’ shirts as classic fit, and our women’s shirts as fashion fit. whilst not baggy, the men's shirts come up quite big - if in doubt, go for the smaller size. the women's tees are for the most part more fitting, tho ones descibed as 'vintage' are a little looser

please note that with both our ‘vintage style’ and 'jersey' shirts, although the manufacturers’ sizing charts tally with those of our standard shirts, we find that the men’s fit shirts are more fitting, and you may be best opting for one size bigger than you do in the standard tee - if in doubt, PLEASE EMAIL US! our 'lightweight' long sleeve shirts are t shirt material.only with long sleeves! the majority have ribbed cuffs.

sweatshirts & polos are sourced from the same manufacturers we use for t shirts, hence once again the sizing charts tally. however there are still a couple of points we feel need making. our vintage style sweats have thin ribbed collar, ribbed cuffs, and at the bottom hang loose at the front but keep their shape with ribbed back & sides. we would describe them as loose fit without being exceptionally baggy.
our polos are 100% combed cotton (ie. they have a 'smooth' feel rather than, say, the fred perry 'airtex' style). the polos are quite fitting - if, for example, you wear an L in our standard tees, go for an XL in the polos.
please also note they are 'distressed' style, consequently any slight fraying on collar / cuffs / ribbed bottom is deliberate and for effect . . As ever. if in doubt, PLEASE EMAIL US! (click here)

goalfood has selected shirts available for kids - check the ‘choose your size’ box on the order page for confirmation. much as adults range from s to xl, kids come in all shapes and sizes, so you should use your discretion when ordering. for example the shirts marked as ‘9-10’ may well fit an 8 year old. similarly an adult shirt in small will fit many who are aged 11/12+, which is why in most cases the kids’ sizes we offer stop at what the manufacturers call 9-10. if in any doubt, please click here, or call us on 0115 923 3537

stocking policy - our stocking policy works something like this.
if when choosing your size, you see all standard sizes showing, either all sizes are in stock and ready for immediate despatch, or will be in stock shortly (meaning we are confident we can meet our guarantee of delivery within 28 days).
if most sizes are showing, but one or two aren’t, it means that it may be a little while before that particular size is back in stock. if this is the case regarding the size you’re after, we recommend you email us click here, and we’ll advise you when that size will be back in, or whether another size may be viable
if only seemingly random sizes are showing, this normally indicates a limited edition design, where once the sizes indicated have sold out, it will be deleted. once again, please email us click here with any questions in such cases
